No Easter Eggs ................

Well we did have some mini eggs and chocolate bunnies which were very nice .............

Our son Alec had decided to give me some money as a donation to Ovacome with it being Ovarian cancer awarness month in March and knowing I was selling pin badges for Ovacome he wanted to contribute .

Alec thought Mum Dad and his sis Ali could do with out the Easter eggs that he would have normally bought us and added the cost of them to his donation and bless him he has given me £50.00 to send in to Ovacome .

Its funny I didn't miss all that extra chocolate but did enjoy what we did have and it was better for our figures .........

Thanks Linda ,

Yes we are proud of Alec and Ali our daughter ..never had any worries over them only when my daughter goes on her travels ...like now ..she is in Vietnam and Cambodia for her Easter holiday .We are always so glad to hear when she has arrived back in the UK ........

I am hoping for another fridge magnet have them from all over the world ..but we had to have a magnetic board from Ikea when we had the kitchen done as the F/F in built in .

Dear Jan, That's such a lovely gesture and a great example of fundraising. I never buy Easter Eggs because it's so commercialised and you end up with a few grams of chocolate and a lot of cardboard and wrapping. Your son's Easter gesture seems much more in keeping with the spirit of the festival.

It seems years ago we were happy just painting hard-boiled eggs which my parents would hide in the garden for us to seek out. I don't remember chocolate ones as a child.

Happy Easter to you and your family!

Loads of love xxx Annie

Thanks Annie ,

Yes you are so right as years ago the eggs came mainly with out all that card board and wrapping . Open up a large box to find a tiny egg .... I would rather have some really nice chocolates .

I rather like the Greens bar of chocolate with ginger ..its very nice ..

Dear Jan

Thanks from all of us at Ovacome for your generous donation and for agreeing to go without Easter eggs. Maybe that is something we could follow up for next year. Thank Alec for thinking of it in the first place.

Hope you had a lovely easter despite not having any eggs

Hi there Ruth ,

Many thanks ...

Its funny this year I have not really missed the extra chocolate and our daughter Ali does not eat much of it although as a teacher she gets boxes of it through out the year .

When she has a glut of it she puts some of the many boxes in her scout group's raffle .

I will indeed pass on your thanks and yes we did have a lovely Easter which we started with a trip to London to visit Westminster Abbey ..Just Stunning ....
