Help I'm poorly again
I had the same fears Lucy but the MRI showed 2partially prolapsed discs one cervical and one Lumbar. They are not going to operate so I take ibuprofen and I thnk my stars it is nothing worse. Never thought I would be glad to be told I had a slipped disc.
Hi Lucy,
I am afraid that is the problem with our disease, every pain we find a sinister explanation for which involves oc. I am afraid it goes with the territory - but I am so pleased for you it is nothing to do with oc. Also pleased the pain is better. I hope you get the op soon so you can be recovering before Christmas. Thanks for keeping us updated, it is so useful to know the possible explanations for our aches and pains.
Love Lizzie

So sorry to hear your operation had to be postponed - I hope its rearranged soon. Have you had the bone scan results yet? Hope that can go some way to putting your mind at rest. Pain and anxiety and everything else that you are having to deal with emotionally - it sends us all crazy. I can hardly string a sentence together at the moment and feel like I inhabit some parallel universe.
Once you have got your bad fixed I am surely things will begin to fall back into place.

Hi ladies I am going to theatre on Thursday for a
I to discectomy. I k ow it's a slipped disc and the bone scan and CT was clear. I'm a bit s ares especially as I have radiation enteritis and know anysurvety can be dangerous but the pain is horrible and I feel. I've had enough to last me a life time. I've been in bed for 4 weeks. Lucy1dog. Xxxxx
Hi Lucy
Yes you have had more than anyone should have to bear. My heart goes out to you. You WILL get through this and without the pain you will feel more calm and in control. Is there anyone in hospital who can listen to your fears and reassure you? Imagine how relieved you will be when the operation is over. Its difficult to imagine that you will feel well again, but you will be taking your dog on its favourite walk sooner than you think.
I will pray that Thursday is a turning point for you on the road to feeling normal again.
Love Sarah
