I have to agree with chris, mine is also,Fairy of New York. P x
oops! that was meant to be Fairytale
Mine has got to be the "Hallelujah Chorus" flash mob sung on you tube in a food hall in Canada and commissioned by Alphabet Photography Christmas 2010 the look of surprise on people's faces is fab and the singing is great so uplifting I love it....when I want to be uplifted I watch and listen to it on YouTube.....great lovely blog... thanks love x G x
I absolutely agree with your choice Gwyn, but as you got in first I'll post up my other favourite which has to be In Dulce Jubilo.
Good idea Linda to paste in the URL to YouTube. I'm posting in the one by Flash Mob that Gwyn mentioned- the professional opera group that takes opera to shopping malls. The look on people's faces is beyond imagination. It really does unite us all.

Awww thanks Linda I am ok....but my eyes are bad at the moment swollen, red, streaming not sure what it is but trying to rest them, at the moment I am taking two steps forward and one step back haha I have got drops for them so here's hoping that they will be better for Christmas... love x G x
I am so sorry to hear that, Gwyn. I hope your eyes get better soon.
Love n hugs, Wendy xx
I'm so sorry to hear that Gwyn, just make sure you rest as much as possible and I do hope they're better befor Christmas.
Take care Love Linda xx
Total traditionalist - White Christmas by Bing, gets me in mood every time. I may as well have it on a loop as I play it repeatedly all Christmas!

Have to admit I love Emerson, Lake and Palmer's I Believe in Father Christmas.

And here's another beauty, The Wexford Carol, performed by Alison Krauss, Yo-Yo Ma and Natalie MacMaster. Enjoy. youtube.com/watch?v=yxDZjg_...
This one is really lovely. I haven't heard this version. Thanks for posting it.

Hi Linda,
It won't click to play on mine ???? But I will check it out on YouTube later cheers love x G x
Don't know why that would be. Hope you're able to get it as its really nice.

I'm also going to indulge by posting my favourite version of In Dulce Jubilo - it was a tough choice but I've come down in favour of Kings Choir, Cambridge.

Sublime!
Ditto to Linda's comment x G x
Am I allowed a most-hated? Bloody piped "So here it is, Merry Christmas..." by Slade makes me want to scream!!! X
I like to listen to the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on the radio on Christmas Eve. As soon as the young boy doing the solo starts to sing "Once in Royal David's City", it signals the end of the shopping and the real start of Christmas.

Mine is the same as Chris's...Fairytale of New York. I absolutely love it...always gives me goose bumps!
Love Linda xx
I'm with Sue and Bing but am loving all the links - thanks Annie
My favourite is Il est ne le divin enfant - the e in ne should have an accent aigu but I can't seem to type one in here! It was rather difficult find ing a YouTube version that wasn't an English-speaking choir murdering the French pronunciation, but here's one sung by a French singer - always assuming I can work out how to paste it in!

The people around look really miserable !!!!! Haha x G x
And here's another favourite - Noel Nouvelet. (You might guess I grew up in Montreal!)

Lovely thank you love x G x
My favourite is the Fairytale of New York too, but I've just been listening (and singing very badly!) to some carols on my CD and I reckon you can't beat a full choir singing 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing' Love those old traditional carols
You are clever, some of you, I can't work out how to past onto here, maybe it's cos I'm on the iPod?
Love Wendy xx
