I will know next Wed if I am to have surgery first then chemo or vice versa. One problem is that I am uncomfortably bloated (fluid?) and I wonder if anyone can tell me if bloating recedes with chemo or will I have to go through the 6 cycles (18 weeks) feeling like this before surgery! Jan

I don't know the 'official' answer but during my treatment this year the bloating subsided quite quickly after the second dose of chemo, which is what the oncoogist said may happen - although she didn't make any promises. When I had my first brush with ovarian cancer - 13 years ago - I had surgery before chemo which meant that all the fluid was taken off then. Either way, I will cross my fingers for you as I know that the bloating is very uncomfortable.

all the best - wil be thinking of you
