I will know next Wed if I am to have surgery first then chemo or vice versa. One problem is that I am uncomfortably bloated (fluid?) and I wonder if anyone can tell me if bloating recedes with chemo or will I have to go through the 6 cycles (18 weeks) feeling like this before surgery! Jan

Hello my mum had terrible bloating and seemed to ease a little with peppermint tea khemo didnt help I'm afraid my mom felt like a drum so tight we used to get so upset the oncologist said it wad liquid from the cancer
I also had chemo before surgery (3 of them) and so much ascites I looked ten months pregnant. After 3 treatments before surgery the ascites was 95% gone, so, yes, I do believe the chemo helped get rid of the ascites. Hopefully, you will get the same results as I did. Good luck!
Sandy.
