Thank you, Linda, for the info about the Canadian site.

I feel better for having read it as it made me feel that maybe my Oncologist has been right in refusing me any more Chemo. Had Taxol and Carboplatin 5 years ago after debulking op. and appeared clear for 3 years. Then found recurrence - pelvis, lymphatic system and rib in back, but told no treatment to be had - " too toxic and wouldn't work anyway". Couldn't understand why as my OC obviously had responded first time. A second opinion came to the same conclusion. Felt bit depressed and "written off" as saw others were having more lines of Chemo, when I looked on this site. However, I've been able to have a fairly good quality of life, apart from getting easily exhausted and suddenly having short bouts of feeling really ill , and had some lovely long times away in our caravan,(with my hair !! ) until recently - so maybe he's been right. My husband and I both felt that the site more or less made the same point with reference to "quality of life". I'm still here and have been able to see some more lovely grandchildren born - numbers 7,8 and 9. I now hope to see my latest grandchild, number 10, due at the end of August.!!

Hope his may help someone else. Has anybody else felt that they've been just left to get on with it?

Good Luck to everyone, Solange xxx

Thanks for telling us this, Solange. Sorry you haven't been so well recently but hope you continue to enjoy your present and future grandchildren!

Best wishes

Thanks for that Linda! I do wish, however, tha they would give symptoms one should worry about other than the CA125 levels as I have some symptoms now but very minor and I do not want to turn into one of those fussy whining individuals.

Nice to hear from you again Margaret and I do hope your current worries prove groundless.
