Mid April had a scan at the hospital to see if my mirena coil was still there, they found fibroids and a cyst. I got given an appointment at Gynae within 2 weeks, and wasnt worried too much till at the appointment when the Nurse said "this is the mass clnic...suspected cancer clinic" well I didnt know that, was horrified.

My CA125 was 34 and the cyst was complex. I was given another appointment for a scan that I go for on wednesday and then an appointment with the consultant onJune 27th. They will see then if the complex cyst has grown

I am obviously so worried. I know a complex cyst can still be fine and if it was something really urgent they wouldnt have waited 2 and a half months, but I cant help but worry

After thinking I had no symptoms, I have since had lots of indigestion/wind, pelvic pain on and off and Im so so worried , everything I plan I thinking "well I might not even be here" :(

thanks for listening, sorry for waffling xx

Hello Anniebear, I also have been told that I have a complex cyst and I know what you mean about being worried. I have to go for another scan in September and have another CA125 test done and I keep thinking why do they want me to do that if there's not a chance it could be sinister? At the last scan I had the cyst was only 2cm - are they only likely to be bad if they are bigger? I keep thinking why leave it that long?? Then I tell myself that they know what they are doing!

I think that every woman who goes through this must feel the same and of course you google all your symptoms! I have to go for a hysteroscopy this week and I am hoping that I will feel a bit more at ease if they discover why I am bleeding so much, perhaps after another scan this week you will know more and feel a little more confident, I do hope so for both our sakes.

Let me know how you get on, and very best wishes to you for a good outcome. xx

yes my thoughts exactly! I will have had to wait 2 and a half months and Im thinking what if it is OC and it spreads :o then I think can't they just do a biopsy , but then I also think well they know what they are doing! My cyst was 3.4 with a very small solid part

I didnt think I had any symptoms but am now getting worked up as I think I do. Won't know anything this week as I have to go and see the consultant June 27th

what was your CA125? Mine was 34, which I know is in the normal range but I also know its the higher end of it

Thanks for replying

Angie

Hi again, they didn't tell me what my CA125 result was, just said it was okay and I didn't think at the time to ask. I am going to try to find out on Wednesday when the surgery is open again. I have been having a very peculiar bloated tummy and wind and and feeling nauseous, I have also been having quite alot of pain in my lower abdomen and groin area, which I attributed to my age. All of which has got much worse over the last month. That makes me think that it is because I am worrying! They say about frequent urination but mine is opposite, much less frequent so I think thats a good thing. I know I'm not feeling right, I've been told that I have IBS and yet I don't have all of the p... problems associated with that. I have been to the Doctor about a pain and discomfort I have under my left ribs for about 6 years which is what they diagnosed as ibs. Well I gave up seeing them about that even though it's now worse. About two years ago I started having bleeding between periods. I put off going to the Doctors for lots of reasons, and when I finally got there at the beginning of March she sent me for an ultrasound which is when they found this cyst. They thought it could just be a corpus luteum cyst and I had to return 6 weeks later for U/S to determine if it was different. Within 2 weeks I had an appt with the consultant who told me it is a complex cyst with some solid matter. I suppose that we both have to trust in what they are doing and try not to worry too much! Come on it's bank holiday weekend (shame about the weather) we should be out enjoying life!

I'm sorry to hear you are going through so much worry at the moment. Sorry, I have no knowledge of your problem. You may have alredy looked at this, so I don't know if this will help, but you could try going on the Ovacome site and looking at the BEATOvarian cancer with Ovacome logo on the left hand menu. Scroll down and download the BEAT symptom tracker. You can record everything you are going through on it and print it out to take to appts. It's recognised by gynae depts at hospitals and GPs and will give you something concrete to present at your next appointment. It may also help you to rule out, or rule in ..... what you are going through. the key is always early treatment and, although the wait seems interminably long when you are going through the worry and anxiety, it is usually within around a month if they suspect OC.

Good luck to you

Love Wendy xx

Hi

I had a complex cyst ca125 of 57 and high risk because of previous breast cancer they put me under the care of a gyne oncologist so I was also very scared. They operated to remove ovaries and found I had 5cm cysts on both ovaries. Pathology came back clear . They sometimes don't know for sure so try not to worry (I know it's hard)
