I have had ongoing stomach/gastro issues for a while… about 10 days ago I had a ct scan which revealed my existing ovarian cyst had grown from 9cm to 26cm… bit of a shock for me but explains the pain and other issues I have been having. I had an urgent referral to the gynaecologist, a face to face appointment tomorrow. They are saying possibly cancer as I am post menopausal and have symptoms… not sure what I am asking on here but just wanted to sound off a little… thanks for reading 🤗

Hi, sorry that you find yourself (maybe) needing this forum.
I expect you will have a CA125 blood test tomorrow as that’s the usual protocol if cancer is suspected.
Remember you don’t know that’s what it is until you are told, and that can take a while to diagnose, so try to not get too ahead on things (easier said than done I know) but either way there will be a plan for you going forward.
I sincerely hope it is not OC and wish you the best outcome tomorrow xx Jen
I’m sorry you find yourself in this position, there’s no point in me saying try not to worry as of course you’re going to be worried, I always feel in these situations I’d like to be put in a deep sleep and woken up when they have answers but unfortunately, as SuffolkJen said, it will take a bit of time to know exactly what’s in front of you. But if it does turn out to be cancer, just because it’s grown much bigger doesn’t mean it’s spread anywhere else and even if it has there are so many treatments now that you will get through it. I really hope it’s benign, please let us know how you get on. Sally xx
All you can do is try and be calm. It's easier said than done. When I was told the large abdominal mass was two large cysts joied by some "unknown" growth I was terrified. Wishing you peae at each step.
Thank you. I am all clear. 8 months of my life. You hold on. Find a lovely peaceful spot in your mind, cuddle a wheat bag, a few deep breaths, and away you go. It helps.
Thank you… I am having anaesthetic assessment next week… and gynaecologist appointment after to let me know what is going to happen. I have an appointment Monday to asses my blood clots…
