Following our recent consultation, several of our members responded that they would like to connect with others affected by ovarian cancer in their local community, but that there isn't a group available.
Ovacome has a list of the local UK support groups that we are aware of: ovacome.org.uk/local-suppor.... We regularly review this list and are always keen to add any groups that aren't listed. This might also include general gynae cancer groups.
However, we are aware that this list may not be comprehensive. We would be very grateful if you could let us know of any ovarian cancer support groups or informal meet-ups that you take part in, or that you are aware of, in your area. This could be a more formal support group, or could just be a regular tea and cake meet-up that you would be happy for others to join.
You can either comment on this post, or email support@ovacome.org.uk.
We are very grateful for your support with this so that more of our members can meet in-person.
Best wishes,
Alice - Ovacome Support

We would really appreciate it if you could add our details to your website. We have just recently launched the support group and believe it to be the only support group for gynae cancer patients in NI.
GOSh - Gynaecological Oncology Sisterhood
GOSh is a support group for gynaecological patients throughout Northern Ireland. We aim to be a huge support for each other both online and in person with workshops and activities organised throughout the year and a monthly coffee morning held at different locations across Northern Ireland.
To become a member of GOSh, please join our private Facebook group - GOSh Gynaecological Oncology Sisterhood For further information please contact Genevieve or Catherine on 07902368475 / 02866251250, email us on info@swell.org.uk
Thank you so much for your reply and for sharing this very helpful information about the new GOSh group in Northern Ireland. We will get this added to our list of local support groups on our website.
Thank you for your question. The list can be found here on our website: ovacome.org.uk/local-suppor... . I hope that's helpful but please do let us know if you have any difficulties with access.
A great idea to draw attention to the support groups that are around. However, I can see our local support group on there and there are a few inaccuracies on the listing.
Could you email me on COPES11.05@gmail.com please and I can give you the details to amend the listing.
Thank you very much for your response and for alerting us to the inaccuracies on your group listing. I will email you directly so that this can be amended.
