You may have seen my post about this before Christmas, apologies for the repetition but we are seeking more volunteers! We need your help to promote My Ovacome so that as many people as possible access the brilliant support you all give one another.
We'd like to do this using comments and feedback you have about what the forum means to you. We would like to use your quotes to create posts for our social media platforms in order to reach more women who have been affected by ovarian cancer and that could benefit from the My Ovacome forum.
Your pictures and quotes will be part of our wider campaign to raise awareness during March, which is ovarian cancer awareness month. If you are able to provide a picture and quote, or would like more information about our campaign to raise awareness and funds please get in touch at hello@ovacome.org.uk
Many thanks for your help

I will too but am a bit unsure of the route through. I entered the hello site given above then clicked on the link at the bottom but now it seems to want me to sign up etc? I dont use or have a Facebook account, or want to set up passwords etc so perhaps you can help me ... and tell me exactly what is most helpful or useful for the Ovacome site
Thank you for your offer to help. The hello@ovacome.org.uk is an email address, not a website, so if you could email a quote and a picture to that address, that would be great. If you have any problems, please email me at support@ovacome.org.uk and I will forward to the hello@ovacome.org.uk address. Do get in touch with me if there are any problems.
I just found a photo of my son in the Ovacome top when he had run the marathon with me in the garden - which I will add with no text to the hello address. There is a write up with a photo of me at Christie's ringing the bell on my last recent treatment before Christmas but you may like to swap, add or exchange it for this one as it promotes the charity side...
Could the forum details not be part of the information given to new patients by the Macmillan nurses during the pre-op routine? An A4/A5 page, perhaps?
We have an A5 leaflet about our services which we send to CNSs and they can give out as part of the information they provide, which includes the forum details. We'll certainly look at promoting this with CNSs more though, so they are aware and pass on the details. Thank you for this helpful feedback, it's always so useful for us to know where and when women would find it most helpful to receive the information.
Thanks for the response, Anna! It's ben so informative for me being on this forum, but I only found out about it when I visited Maggie's at Charing Cross, when I had finished my chemo - and just before last year's annual meeting. I'm looking forward to this year's.
It's great to hear how much the forum has helped. I'm glad you're coming to Member's Day - don't forget to put a sticker with your forum name on your name badge at Member's Day, so that all the forum members can find each other!
