I had a laproscopy 9 days ago to remove a perisitant 5cm cyst that on ultrasound due to "diffuse low level internal echos" on the ultrasound report was classed as probably being an Endometrioma .
I had it removed and the consultant briefly saw me afterwards (but I was very out of it and he is a man of few words) said it was not an Endometrioma as the fluid was more clear . He said he has sent it off to be tested but can take weeks.
So I'm not sure what type of cyst it actually is. Does anyone know what echos can mean in a cyst if blood isn't present ? Does this mean there was a mass in it ? I had a slightly elevated CA125 , which I know could be many things .
I know I have I'll find out soon but driving myself a little crazy searching the internet for what this means !
Thank you for any advice on this .

I’ve not had this experience myself but I just wanted to come on here to give you a couple of pieces of advice….
1) Give it 3 weeks then start to chase up your results ring your surgeons secretary and pester….
2) Don’t google - we all do it but it really doesn’t help and just makes you even more confused especially as you don’t know what it is until you are given your results.
Whatever it turns out to be (I sincerely hope it’s nothing sinister) they will have a plan of treatment for you.
The wait is torture we've all been there that’s why I say give it 3 weeks. I got my results 3 weeks after surgery but I know others have waited longer. You have to advocate for yourself plus results have been left lying in in-trays before now…
I agree with the others, its a waiting game lm afraid & really sound advice not to Google you'll scare yourself. Just hope its not anything sinister I had a CT scan myself yesterday just got told to tell my surgeon secretary ld had it done for an appointment for results. Think we all have to be
Proactive in our own care. And ask for 2nd opinions if not happy. Good luck with your results. Love SheilaFxxx ❤
