Just wanted to wish everyone here a healthy and happy 2018. I truly wish for nothing but the very best for all the wonderful ladies on this site and everyone else affected by Cancer. I'll be raising a glass for those who wont be seeing 2018 with us but will not be forgotten. Lets hope that those going through treatment see success and that this coming year is good to us all, free from pain, stress etc. Much love, Kathy xx 💝

Happy New Year Kathy and to all the ladies who use this site. Kathy - I have read your words of wisdom, comfort and encouragement many times on this site. They, and the contributions of lots of ladies here, have helped me and my family through a very different year since my diagnosis Feb '17. So, thank you, to you and to everyone here. We have a different life, and outlook, I think with this diagnosis and the posts here show me that there is hope and progress. I had a lovely afternoon out with my family the other day. On the way home in the car I noticed a huge illuminated billboard that said "11 ladies die every day in the UK from ovarian cancer". I know (as my husband gently pointed out) that more people die from other conditions per day but it made me think. Target Ovarian Cancer says that progress in treatment for this disease is 20 years behind that of breast cancer. Let's do what we can to improve this stat. In 2018 I will help to raise awareness and support in any way I can. We have lost friends along the way and we will remember them this evening as we raise our glasses. We are here, we are living our lives and we are fighting. My very best wishes to all here and your families, I hope that 2018 is a good year for everyone. With love xx
