Support Group

Good Morning,

I am a newbie.

I live in Suffolk, near Ipswich and was wondering whether there were any others near me who would be interested if I were to set up a local support group to meet up.

I had stage 3 ovarian in September 2021. I was operated on and had 6 lots of chemo. To date I have been fortunate with no reoccurrence. Although as a result of the surgery I am suffering with two hernias which require surgery too.

Joss it might be worth checking if Ipswich hospital still have an OC support group, they used to but that was 2016ish! xx

Good luck with setting up a support group. I help to run COPES support group (Essex) and we get ladies from Colchester, so maybe they would find it easier getting to a south Suffolk venue. Hello Joss,

Sorry for the delay but I’m now wondering if you did manage to set up your own group. There are a few of us (4 actually) who range from Colchester to Ipswich and just meet up for coffee and cake occasionally. It’s not a formal group but we could fit a 5th chair around the table.

I have stage 3c ovarian cancer; I’ve just had a full hysterectomy and debulking surgery - 2 weeks ago.

Did you have any joy with finding a support group? I would definitely be interested.
