ovarian cyst and blood in the urine

have ovarian cyst 3.6 x2.9 x2.9 - Gp has requested ca125 , feel pressure down there plus full feeling , also have blood in the urine - had antibiotics -still there 2 months later , peeing more but no burning , lower back pain also - should I be worried?

Hi Cathhunt, I don't know much about your symptoms I'm afraid, but my advice would be try not to worry until you have to (easier said than done I know). Absolutely don't Google, the statistics etc can be very out of date and you will end up scaring yourself unnecessarily. Your GP is doing the right thing by checking your CA125, this is a good indicator for many, and you will be sent quickly for further investigations if your blood test shows a high level, so you will be in good hands.Hopefully your cyst is not sinister and you won't end up in this club that no-one wants to join, good luck with your blood results xx

Insist on a CT. Ca125 results are not always a confirmation of OC.

Hi Catherine, I've been reading your history & it seems that you have been having these same symptoms for 5 years. Is that right? I feel like if it's OC then it would have been confirmed by now but hopefully a CT will confirm one way or another and you can get on with your life.

yes but the blood in the urine is different- only last 2 months I’ve had that but I do have arthritis so have chronic back pain anyway- especially lower back - I hope it’s not masking other things
