Update about my mom.. CRP is up from 128 to 250 she has temperature 39.7 paracetamol help her , but question is that from ascites? They said tomorrow maybe they can take it out , i am so affraid of ascites she never had it before 😞 but looks like all what is going on with her digestive system is from that. She has doxil 3 weeks ago and next must be on 17.07 that was her first influsion and must be second next week, if after first came ascites that mean chemo is not working correct? :(

Hi I am sorry about your mum and hope she is feeling better. I had ascites for the first time and was told that, the slight progression I had didn't account for the way my CA125 had risen, so it could be inflammation. I had a (painless drain) and felt much better afterwards! My oncologist also said that some chemos take a bit longer than others to start "drying up" the fluid. Hope this helps! x
