Looking for some advice here. Mom went through chemo , surgery and HIPEC in 2019 and 2020, was short of remission for last two years with Olaparib but since Jan 22,her CA is back rising. Latest reading is 56K but she is asymptomatic. When she was diagnosed in 2019, her CA was 161K and ascites was her main symptom. We are scratching our head what to do next. She had a scan in Feb, which was clean but CA was rising. Seeing her Onco tomorrow but would be thankful to get some comments and direction...thanks .a ton.

Mom's CA is rising sharply
Best of luck to you guys🙏🏽 I’ll say a prayer for the best possible news. This disease just sucks
I would be requesting a PET scan to see what’s going on x
Hi there .Hope you and your mum got on okay at the oncology appointment. May depend on ,which area you come from whether a pet scan is an option. I have been advised it isn't in my oncology department or not for oc.Good that your mum is asymptomatic though as for certain there will be treatment optionsif needed. Im in a similar position. I'm on niraparib and with CA125 fluctuating ,am struggling with nausea/pain,but CT scans are clear. 🤞for your Mum as the problem may be something benign.Do hope all went well. Let us know .
Thank you..I will update.
Hi There, So Mom's PET-CT is done. Looks like the beast is back but fortunately staying in peritoneal cavity. Rest of the body looks disease free. Onco like to start the chemo but like to try platinum free drug due to her CKD situation. He will try Irinotecan. I read about it and seems it is used in instances of peritoneal metastasis of colorectal cancer. Any feedback on this will be helpful..thanks a ton.
