3rd recurrance?

About my mom,,, OC 2017 march, till 2021 may reimission, that recurrance in many areas… get same carbo palitaxel as in 2017, it works very good… after 4 months ca went little up, CT scan nothing big change doctor said watch and wait,,, in 2022 april she start again carbo palitaxel, it works ok from 330’to 40 drop down ca, CT scan was shrinking but not so good as year before… so she get 8 rounds and doctor said 2 month later ca test and 3 month ct scan… now after 2 month ca 90 , after 3 month 230 :((( in 1 month it run up so fast why??? 15.12 she made CT scan and now we are waiting, than will call doctor to ask can we little bit wait or need to start chemo immediately what will be her next chemos? Is there any chance?

Have no answers. It seems to me that they go with whatever they think you can take and that has the most chance of being effective. I have been told carbo/caelyx for my third line but that could change when we actually get there.

Does your Mum have symptoms? I was considered stable with a ca125 of 243 with no symptoms. So you might find they don’t want to act yet. xx

I have just had second recurrence after 4-5 months and have been put on low dose weekly taxol . I have 3 weeks on and then a week off for 6 months They have put a picc line in my arm which makes it much easier . They told me not to delay chemo once symptoms start as it can cause other problems. Unfortunately the cancer becomes resistant to the chemo . You can research supplements and oxygen therapies to help the chemo work better . But the NHS won’t help you with that it has to be done privately. Xx
