hello im new here hopeing u lady s can give me some advice im postmenopausal ive ad ca125 which came back in normal range and nhs waiting time for a scan is 7 months so paid private which is thursday also last week i paid to see a gyno who did a pelvic exam and said she didnt think i had a cyst and just wait for the scan which im freaking out about i suffer with health anxiety ive sat for months just googling my symptom i dont no how much more i can take ive withdrawn from everything and everyone i love and i carnt talk to them they are sick of me going on ive got all the symptoms of having ovarion cancer and its freakin me out help

Hi, what symptoms are you experiencing? The fact you have a CA125 within normal range is really good. If you aren’t being listened to by yr GP then you need to ask for a second opinion. Don’t take no for an answer, be persistent, this is yr health. Explain yr anxiety too. One piece of advice I always give is stay off Google. Whilst it’s good to be aware of the symptoms of OC google can be a frightening place. I do hope yr scan goes well Thursday, please let us know. One last thing, try to stop worrying (much easier said than done) but worrying doesn’t actually change anything, just ruins the here and now x Big virtual hug, Kathy xx

That sounds a difficult place to be right now. Dealing with this illness has taught me that my imagination is invariably worse than reality. Try not to Google as the info and stats are out of date. Have you thought about counselling for health anxiety? I have found counselling very helpful. x

hi thank u for ur replys my symptoms are change in bowels gurgling stomach acid reflux and lower leftside stabbing pain also had upper abdomen stabbing pain and sometime feel weak as for my anxiety i thi k im gonna look into councilling

hi everyone just thought ide update u so went for my scan today nothing was found they think the problems is my bowels so i will be going for a colostomy soon thank u for all ur kind words x
