Pelvic Scan update I have an appt, thanks to everyone for your advice

Well just to let you know that following applying a little pressure on gp and hospital, I was rung this afternoon to say they can see me on Thursday morning. So perhaps Im a little closer to finding out if there is anything wrong. I saw the GP today all bloods appear normal and he wont be moved on doing a CA125 until after the scan. So I wait a bit longer. Without your advice the wait would have been much longer eight weeks, as it is just a little over two. So many thanks to you all for your support and advice, it has made such a difference. I will keep you posted about how I get on. Once again you have all been so kind and welcoming and it has really helped. Love Karen xxx

Hi there, that's great news. Unfortunately we do have to be a bit more assertive at times. The scan will give a better view of what is going on and you may not need the CA125 which as you will have picked up on here proves not a lot. Mine is used as a marker as it was over 3000 at diagnosis but many ladies have had normal (35 or below) readings and still have had disease. Good luck for Thrus and when you get the results and hopefully it won't be as bad as you think.

Thank you Hillary I am almost more afraid of them finding nothing than something, I am so grateful for all the support you have all shown me. Karen xx

Hi Karen,

I think we all know what you mean by that, but let hope they find something that is nothing (if you know what I mean) at least it would then be a problem solved :-/ ;-) love x G x

Yes that is exactly it Gwyn, you put it so well, a resolution to the pain etc without it being anything nasty......not something else which goes on and on like the RA and tendenitis which this still could be lol. Will let you all know how I get on. Love Karen xxxx

I can't comment on your GP refusing to do a CA125 test, as I might say too much. Not impressed. Good luck anyway, and will be thinking of you.

Hi Karen. Just saw your update ie result of your pelvic scan. Very pleased for you. I guess I should keep my mouth shut in future, when doing blog comments, as your GP knows you and your health better than I do. So glad you got it all sorted.

Best wishes.
