My mom have OC 2017 till 2021 remission 2021 may recurrance get carbo taxol same as 2017, after it all mts go just 1 lymph stay same size, after 5 month recurrance in lymphs doctor started same carbo taxol. After 3 chemo CT scan shows that all lymph started to be smaller but in one side they stayed same size just little bit smaller, ca 125 from 300 down to 115 after 3 chemos.. what do u think is chemo still work or it is small results?

Hello, it’s still having some effect isn’t it? Maybe not what you hoped but if she still has some cycles to go you hopefully will find that it continues to reduce her mets. Good luck 🤞

Today is blood test will see how ca 125 will be as after first it went from 300 to 230 after 2nd to 126 but after 3rd only to 115, it is better down not up and new mts not found thx god and lymph are smaller, i hope it will still work, if not… i dont know what will be :((

Sounds like a partial response, not unusual with chemo treatment for a recurrence, but yes, its worth carrying on because it is reducing the cancer activity and will give her more time. She may require further treatment much later on, but the scan she's just had is the midway scan, halfway through this current course of treatment to make sure its having an effect, which it clearly is, so carry on and complete the treatments. There will be a scan after her chemo is complete which will give a final picture of the results.

The fall this time will be less than last time - it drops about half or less with each treatment, so let's say, if, at the beginning, the CA125 is 1000, then after the second it'll be around 500, after the third around 250, after the fourth 125 or thereabouts and so on... Try not to stress and worry - its bad for your health and will make no difference to the level of the marker, it is whatever it is... best of luck for her treatment.

My moms was 300 after first if call 230 than after second 126 and after 3rd it was 115 very small point…. That make me stressed what will be after 4th 🥺

She's doing well - I finished chemo for a recurrence 3 months back, and my CA125 only went down to 232 (from 668) when it was complete. I'm fairly sure they will be saying I need more treatment soon, probably after another 3 months because the marker is already rising again.

Can't remember exactly, I think it was something like 296 a week ago, so its going the wrong way!

Yep, that's primarily where mine is, lots of lymph nodes,mostly in the pelvis...I was stage 4b at diagnosis at the end of December, 2017... but I haven't had much chemo, only 2 courses of carboplatin, so no doubt they will want to use something far worse like paclitaxil next time, which I've so far refused.

My mom stage 2b in 2017 may andFirst recurrance 2021 may and 5 month after she get again same chemo carbo palitaxel wll free times,.. but she is eating good and drink fresh juice for blood and thx God it goes in normal numbers before each chemo

After 4th chemo ca 125 went down from 115 to 95… sure it is better as nothing…
