Hello Everyone. I joined this group as my sister was diagnosed with OC March 9,2022. She had her first two rounds of chemo and she just had another CT scan because she saw the surgeon and she knew something wasn’t going right. The chemo isn’t working as the cancer is growing. She had a pet scan and the cancer is only in the abdominal area/peritoneal cavity. They’re going to change up her chemo and her schedule.
Has anyone experienced this as well? This whole journey is so surreal to us.
Thank you all for your support and I appreciate any and all input that you may have.❤️

I am so sorry for what you are, both, going through.
Yes, it can happen and the chemo doesn't work, whereby some have recurred immediately after or even during the front line treatment. The good news is that it has been discovered early on.
Let's hope that the next round of treatment will work much better and the following surgery will remove all the cancer. This again can happen and it is very possible.
Thank you so much. My sister is still very positive as I am I. She has a long road ahead and I am here to help her through it. I appreciate everyone’s help and support here ❤️
Hi. Does she have low grade? Chemo doesn’t work as well on that. Are they planning to do surgery? If it were me I would get a second opinion. I hope the next chemo works for her!
Hi! I do not know if she has low grade… She will be having surgery. She just started her new chemo treatment today and she feels very positive about it as does her oncologist. She’s actually feeling really good and has a super positive attitude. Thank you so much for your feedback and information. It really helps me a lot💕
