Has anyone ever heard of chemoembolization and whether or not it is effective . From what I’ve been told it offers chemo directly to the treatment point and is less severe on the body

Hi Tim , I am in the USA, my doctor is considering it for me. I have a single tumor close to my one kidney . She said it might be an option or Cyberknife. Seems I might be too old for a full surgery to remove it .

Will let you know if they decide on it .

From what I've read it's mainly used for the liver. I'd be interested to know if they can use to block the blood supply for individual tumours elsewhere including in the ovary. It sounds like it's tiny sponges that block the blood supply and it has chemo in it which makes it more effective. If you find out more please do let us all know.x
