Hello ladies. I had my mid course CT scan yesterday afternoon (two weeks after my 3rd infusion of Carbo Doxil ( Caelyx). An hour later, I received the usual cheery “New test results!” email. It took me a couple hours to find the courage to open the patient portal and read the report. Thankfully, it’s decent. My liver mets have shrunk and radiologist could not identify any new ones. Some peritoneal implants also shrank. I was really pleased that two larger lung nodules were unchanged and this time the radiologists did not seem concerned as they had been in the past about lung mets, instead focusing on mucus impaction in my lungs (bronchiectasis) which I have dealt with for years. So, I continue the fight and I am very grateful to you ladies who have offered encouragement, prayers, and kind words. Thank you!

Great news Sashay, unfortunately that combo didn't work for me, in fact things got a lot worse so I'm really pleased to see your good result. I'm currently on weekly Taxol which seems to be working. All the best Sue xx
Thanks Cheryl. I still feel a bit nervous as to whether the next three infusions will pit me in remission again. I’m meeting with oncologist tomorrow and plan to ask if I can postpone next week’s chemo for four to six weeks. I really need a break.
Can well understand you needing a break ,chemo grueling , I'm having a break after my sixth one , we've booked a two week holiday in Dorset ,but now I'm worrying about what might go wrong , we're damned if we do damned if we don't . Hope you consultation goes well ,good luck .Cheryl xx
Thanks, Helvelyn. It was easier to print the report from the portal. I like to mark it with questions for my oncologist. He says it has taken a bit of getting used to having patients seeing the test results before he does. 🙂
Thanks, Morini. I was afraid to celebrate for fear that I will jinx myself. But that’s illogical. I think some Pinkberry frozen yogurt with toasted pecans and pomegranate syrup is in order. 😋
Thrilled to hear your great news, Sashay, l hope that you continue to improve and that you can enjoy the warming weather and get outside.Hugs from Gillian, Mookie Fox.
