I have been practicing gratitude like you do and I must say it has lifted my mood. Thank you for all your advice and fantastic ways of coping. You make me smile. Love and hugs Sheenagh. Xx
Hi Tigger : I have been practicing gratitude like... - My Ovacome
Hi Tigger
Awesome! I am so glad your feeling better! Your message boosts my mood and attitude as well! It’s a win/win for both of us.
I found the first couple months of this journey very overwhelming, and I felt very alone at first. I wish I had found this website connection earlier. (Only stumbled upon it a couple of weeks ago)
I found the first couple months of this journey very overwhelming, and I felt very alone at first. I wish I had found this connection before the last few weeks. on a PARP inhibitor tomorrow and have bloodwork and appointment today. I am so used to having a schedule and a plan…and now am getting to the “watch & wait” time of my journey….feeling kind of lost really. I should be happy to be at this point, but now what to do??? At least with chemo, I got to know when I would feel the most fatigued and when I would feel the best….the routine was kind of comforting.
But I spent most of the last 2 days in my garden (built a 20 x 20ft garden in the back yard at my boyfriends house)… bare foot and full of mud (we are having a very hot & dry summer so far, so have had to water in the early mornings).
I think I may take up mud wrestling! 😂
Grounding is so good for my soul, and it feels super amazing to just play around in the wet dirt barefoot, and not give a care in the world that I have drug mud & dirt into his house! And I’m not worrying about the floors needing to be done (this is sooo not the old me😳).
My self gratitude is that I have decided to leave the house cleaning for a few days. I will tackle it at some point before the end of the long weekend (my boyfriend and two of my boys are going to be away at a work site for 5+days starting tomorrow). I feel like a cleaning spree will only happen once I turn on the radio, find some music I like, karaoke with the mop, and dance around his house like a child with no cares in the world!
In the meanwhile, I will enjoy the sunshine and beautiful weather we are having, meeting up with friends that have been away at work since April…and just going to enjoy the company for a change.
Super stoked you are also on the journey upward and onward!!
Trish
