My mom had stage 4 ovarian cancer in October 2018 and had successful debulking surgery + taxol/carbo and her ca125 has been around 13. But today she was tested and it came back at 61. Should we prepare for the worst?
I am holding out hope for anything else. Any positive stories?

Reading posts on here it would appear that quite a few ladies are experiencing rises post vaccine , so maybe Hope there . Meanwhile your mum has been doing great so keep being positive for her. It helps a lot !Best wishes for you both
It could well be her body's reaction to covid jabs. But if the wretched thing is back there are treatments. Mine is inoperable and they don't think I am BRCA positive (still awaiting results after months) but they have me on Niraparib parp inhibitors to slow its progression. Hope the rise is just a jab-induced blip. All best wishes x
Hi. Lots of women on here have lived many years after a recurrence. Your mom had a good remission so should respond well to the next chemo. I had only nine months but have now been on Olaparib for 14 months doing well.
3 years is a great remission. my late wife had her ca125 rises after 6 months your mum is doing good, just hope that it is a glitch. and if found to be positive rise, plenty of alternatives now compared to 10 yrs ago And the carbo+taxol would still be working again since it lapsed after 3 years.
Definitely not, mine did the same after surgery and chemo in 2017 my CA125 started to rise in August 2020. Had carbo/taxol again and I am now now taking niraprabip tablets and my CA 125 is the lowest it has ever been. ( it has spread to the lining of my abdomen). So stay positive 😀
