Hi guys 10 weeks out since surgery heading in to last week of chemo I have a pain in my left side a little up from navel and pain like nerve pain on out side around same area mentioned it at chemo yesterday and the doctor looked at my scan said there was nothing untoward on it he said I has seroma from after surgery but was pretty confident it had nothing to do with the pain and said it is probably a stitch or scar tissue and will hopefully resolve it self anyone of you have had the same advice would be great 👍

Hi ,great news that you have nearly finished your treatment, and can start doing nice things again.I had lots of pains in various places for ages , remember you have had serious surgery.
If your surgeon is happy with your scan thats good news
Hi thereIts great that your team checked it and they are not worried, thats the most important thing xx. I think 10 weeks post surgery is around the time when most people start to push their bodies a bit and they start to creak 😂😂. I still get a niggly abdominal ‘groan’ from mine 3 years on if i do too much (mainly hoovering).
You are entering a new phase now and being aware of any changes in your body is essential to staying well and i wish you good luck xx when do you finish chemo? As i think sometimes that brings its own anxiety..... being cut loose! I remember it well xx

The surgery healing will continue 15 months onwards and I still get the twinges occasionally it is scar tissue most likely, and it take a long time to heal was what I was told by the onocology team, also use moisturiser to help if the skin is dry as some times that is also the cause of the twinges etc just make sure no open wounds etc. I wasn't very good at that moisturiser but did that pretty fast onwards after realising it does help improve the amount of twinges.
I am 6 weeks post surgery now and have soreness inside both sides.. Im hoping it will stop and still hurts when i cough or sneeze .External scar is fine
