Hi everyone! Just reading some of yr posts, my thoughts and great big virtual hugs go out to you all π I am post AOC ops(I had 2 ops in a week, the 2nd to sort out my bowel) by about 5 months, 6 chemo cycles and have started on Lapiribs, Lynparza. All successful! I'm scared like the rest of you, I have the Brca gene so the chances of the cancer coming back elsewhere are high. I'm starting to feel a bit better, physically and mentally. I am on Sertraline anti depressants, have been for a while now, I think they help me. I look after my 96 yr old mother, she lives with me, she is also going through her own trials with cancer. You can imagine, we're a house of crocks! I'm lucky I have close by children, and it's the grand children that keep me going, mentally. Although lockdown has been a complete nightmare, with not being able to get my hugs, I've been doing the normal video calls, and am doing all the things the rest of you have been doing. Yoga has helped, I'm knitting egg cosies for the family for Easter at present (be glad when that's over, so I can get on with other things!) The mornings are worse, but as the day goes on, I get busy looking after mum, and walking, tidying, just starting to get ready for Air bnb. I have a few bookings already so let's hope Covid doesn't get in the way again! Basically, what I'm saying is, Iife has to go in the best way possible for all of us, it's taught me that we can't plan the future and that today is here and now. I'm doom and gloom sometimes, and other times I'm laughing at a TV programme with my mum or at a video of the children. Take life for what it gives today, try not to look into the future, you can't change it, so why worry about it? I started a library, at the beginning of lockdown, in my car port and its been amazing! I've had lovely notes left, home made jam, people bring good books and swap them! I'd like to park my car there, but no space for that at present π€· I've had change left, so far I'm up to about Β£40, so that's going to Ovacome eventually. Today the sun is shining, and a walk is in order. I can't do what I used to, but every little helps with the mind and body. Have a lovely day everybody, and chin up! Much love and light to you all xxx

Hi Delia, yes the library has been brilliant, everyone loves it! π Trouble is, I don't think I'll be able to stop it! π Hair is growing through a bit now, but keeping it very short anyway π Not sure how lynpraza is with hair growth, but can't worry about that right now! Just take each day is it finds me π§ hope your day was brilliant πΉxx

Hi lizzieanne, I most certainly will send your love to my mum, we have hospital for her Thursday, and then they hope to operate on her eye lid π€· She's 96 Saturday, not sure how I feel about that, I'm sure whatever they suggest will be for the best for her. Anyway, you keep on keeping well too! Lots of love and light to you ππ¦π»

Wow. Love your post - so positive and inspiring. What a great photo - you are surely rocking the shaved head look. Been there, done that and felt better for it, especially during the very hot summer of 2018. Thank you for posting and adding a little sparkle to my day, I wish you all the best. Jackie
Hey Mumsie! Thank you for those great comments, have to say, losing my hair hasn't bothered me at all! Made me think the chemo must be working π It's growing back a fraction now, but going to keep it super short anyway so, as you say, with summer on the way going to be cool π You've added sparkle to my day too, thank you πΉπ
