Morning ladies can I please ask is it usual to have chemo and then surgery x

thats what i did, i had 4 and then my surgery, all the best to you x

Yes l had 4 chemo sessions before the op and 2 afterwards to mop up any residue

My surgeon decided I wasn't well enough because of a pleural effusion, so I had 4 chemo (was meant to be 3 but my 1st op got cancelled) then I got two infusions after the op.

Yes, I had three rounds of chemo before my surgery, and three after (then Avastin). It completely dealt with the ascites which had been a huge problem.

Yes I had 6 chemo then surgery (was going to have 3 but due to backlog of getting my CT done onc decided to carry on to 6) then one mop up after. Now on Bevacizumab x

Yes, it’s very common. I had 3 rounds, debulking and then 3 more rounds. Seems more common these days. Best, Nadie

Hi, yes, I think they like to see how your cancer responds to chemo before doing surgery, then follow up with more chemo to mop up what may be left behind.
