I’m 62 and was well past the menopause when I had my debulking done in November. I got over the op really well though I’m still not 100 percent back to normal. Last week I realised I was having a few hot flushes and I’m wondering if it’s possible that even if you’ve gone through the menopause can it really be that having your ovaries removed can cause hot flushes.
Thank you.

Morning 😊 I’ve constantly had hot flushes since my surgery 2017 , my oncologist said she could give me something for them but I’ve got used to them now and don’t really want to take anymore medication if I can help it. I do find I’m also warmer in general, which is not a bad thing in the winter months , Happy new year and all the best to you in your journey x
I had debulking surgery March 2020, then completed the chemo then Olaparib for maintenance. Having night sweats recently again, not experienced since initial diagnosis December 2019. Onc stated via nurse that its ‘probably nothing serious’. I’m hoping she is right. Otherwise I feel good and wish you well in your recovery.
Yep, hot flushes again, when they had only just receded, although chemo made the hot flushes even worse. I did ask about it, and was told it wasn't unusual... There's only one upside to hot flushes - your heating bills will be cheaper🤗
Hi, I had a debulking operation and a large tumor removed from my small intestine at the end of Oct 2019, and I'm past the menopause. Whilst in hospital I began getting night sweats where I would be absolutely drenched and need my sheets changing. This continued for a few weeks after discharge but has now gone completely. When I mentioned it to the nurses they didn't seem to have an opinion. Hopefully your problem will resolve itself. I think it is underestimated just what a shock your body goes through after an operation.
