Has anyone developed breast cancer on top of Primary Peritoneal cancer? I think I have. I am 5 weeks post debulking surgery and just starting Avastin maintenence. Awaiting urgent mammogram. Any thoughts please?
I may have Breast cancer post treatment for PP... - My Ovacome
I may have Breast cancer post treatment for PPC. Anyone else with experience of this please?
I had breast mri 5weeks after debulking op as cancer looked suspicious & family has breast cancer history.Thankfully there was no sign & am still NED one year later so don’t worry could just be precautionary.Either way feel secure that you are now under medics radar and anything will be found at a very early stage🤗 sending hugs . Thanks for that Dee. I have just got to wait till my mammogram. I know that in March both breasts were lesion free and have had several CTs since then to do with the PPC.
My left breast is abnormal though and the GP can feel something so obviously your imagination runs riot. Cancer is a very bumpy road.
thankyou for your reply.
Hugs Linda
Hi. I worry about it because of my PALB2 mutation but so far so good. I’m overdue for my mammogram because my onc felt that the chemo and now PARP inhibitor would protect against breast cancer. Good luck!🌻🌻🌻
Hi there
This is my second attempt to reply as your post has come through in a format I’m not used to so half way through it wiped out my reply
I was diagnosed with stage 3c PPC in 2011 and in 2017 with unrelated Lobular breast cancer
Before my reply gets deleted again I just want to let you know my story is in my profile
If you get to read it I hope it helps you and gives you hope
💚💕
Sending you positive vibes for a speedy and negative mammogram. Xx
My oncologist said that is fairly normal. She stresses keeping up with mammogram
Hi there
I had the debulking and chemo then the check up ct scan found a breast lump, to be honest I laughed when she told me (much to everyone’s surprise) because i just thought what else can you throw at me, bring it on! I Had my mammogram and it was just a harmless lump caused by the sudden change in hormones after the surgery as I hadn’t been through the menopause prior to The surgery, so i hope yours is something simple too xx good luck and fingers crossed
Love Diane
I had a clean mammogram 6/2018. August, 2 months later I found a lump. I had it biopsied and it was breast cancer. During the examination the radiologist found a lump on the other side which was cancerous as well. Had a double mastectomy and both stage 2. One ductal and the other lobal. I was then gene tested because both came back as tnbc. Fast forward to loads of chemo and finally a prophylactic laparoscopic full hysterectomy. Pathology came back with ovarian cancer stage 2b. But is it really 2B ? I mean all the breast cancer chemo I just had. Did it affect it? I’ll never know. I then had more chemo. 21 infusions all together. Now I’m on lynparza and my CA125 is stable and I’m NED. Hopefully forever 🙏🏼 I’m BRCA 1. All those times I went to my gyno I was always asked about my mom’s side of the family. It came from my dad’s. If only I knew then what I’ve learned over the past 2 years. I would have removed everything SO long ago.
