Second line chemo.

Just waiting for my CT. Having had chemo last year. What experiences have people had of second line treatment?

I am on Carbo only... now cycle 3 and I have just remembered that the effects are cumulative! Oh dear! Slightly more nausea this time but tbh I was much more ill this time around. It seems to have gone really quickly tho as no big op in the middle. Good luck, I am sure you will be fine xx

Hi. I had carbo caelyx aka doxil from last October through March. I found it way more tolerable than frontline and I bounced back from it more quickly. I had 5-6 bad days after it but then three weeks feeling good. I did get very low platelets but they bounced back each time before the next treatment. Hopefully you won’t need chemo.

Carbo caelyx, 5 months, 5 infusions. Four weekly cycles = one week of nausea and tiredness, three weeks pretty much normal. So not too bad at all. I'm now 12 months post treatment with no symptoms and bloods okay - so fingers crossed. All the best x

I finished 2nd line in March 2019. Carbo, Gem & Avastin. I had some problems with allergic reactions to the Carbo and I had low platelets so had some transfusions but despite all that I found it easier than the Taxol, Carbo & Avastin.
