Meeting this morning with the oncologist at 11am then treatment of avastin at 1pm. It's madness when you look forward to a hospital appointment but it's a change of scenery9
Oncologist: Meeting this morning with the... - My Ovacome
Oncologist
Hi, I totally agree with you. Always enjoy my visits and recent stay. change of scenery and lots of staff and other patients to talk to. x.
I don't mind going in either it gives me a reason to get out of my tracksuit & dress up a little for a change . I also look forward to the delicious scones. 😜 It's crazy how it's the simplest things during these very strange times that bring us happiness !
I understand how you feel. I got quite excited recently going for a blood test at our local hospital after shielding for several weeks, a chance to go out somewhere
I accidentally clicked reply before finishing my post. I was excited about going out for a blood test, then very disappointed that my onc appointment was changed to a telephone appointment, because it meant I was still stuck at home, waiting for a call, instead of driving to Cambridge. Di
I'm the same! I am quite excited at the thought of going for a scan on Friday and - even more exciting - it's at a DIFFERENT hospital in a different town. How lucky am I?! However, today after my blood test I did buy - wearing my mask - a hot chocolate and cake from the completely deserted hospital cafe, then drove to a pretty and completely deserted nearby cemetery and sat on a bench to have them while watching the birds. Then I popped into work - four storey building completely empty apart from the reception staff - kept about 12 feet from them - but so nice to see different people. First time I had been anywhere apart from Hospitals since mid April. Despite the precautions, it did feel really odd being outside and being "normal" but really brightened my day.
Have a lovely day
Lesley

I always feel safe and understood when I visit the hospital, I know exactly what you mean.
Good luck with Avastin. I had 22 cycles and it definitely did it’s job xx
