Lonquex injection

Hi

Has anyone been given the above injection to take after caelyx? Apparently to boost immune system.Had first Caelyx Friday after three previous lines of Carboplatin.

Just wondered if this is usual .

Hi Janet. After my last Carbo Caelyx I was given injections I had to self administer for five days. Thankfully my husband did the jags. I was told it was to boost my immune system but cannot think what the name of it was. X

I am having GCSF injections after carboplatin... same thing I think, they are supposed to stop the immune system crashing after chemo. My oncologist says it makes him less worried in case I got Covid xx

Thanks for reply. Asked if GCSF were possible after carboplatin when neutrophils very low, but told not possible.

Guess things have changed.

I have 3 daily injections of Accofil and it works wonders on my blood and means that I don't miss a chemo because my blood isn't good enough. I would always go for them if offered. xxx

I had injections after each chemo after getting neutropenic sepsis After chemo 2. I think mine were called filgastrim. I had them for 5 days each time and no problems or delays with chemo.
