I am aged 70, with type 2 diabetes & oc. My husband is 77, also has type 2 diabetes & had his 3rd heart attack last week. We’ve had texts telling us to stay indoors. I have a recurrence of my slow growing type of oc, gct. I’ve been taking Letrozole tablets daily for nearly 2 years. At my last check at the beginning of January, it was still keeping it pretty stable. I was due for a scan next Tuesday, so was keen to know the result, but under the present circumstances, also concerned about travelling to Addenbrookes at the moment. So I contacted my CNS. She had a chat with the consultant, & got back to me. They have suggested that at the moment, if I am feeling well, it is safer for my husband & myself if I stay at home, & they postponed my appointment for 2 months, but naturally to get in touch if I have any new concerns.
I hope everyone is as well as is possible, & is able to avoid Covid 19, Di

I think avoiding hospitals as much as we can, can only be a good thing. I had to go Monday for bloods, I was meant to have observations done but the outpatients waiting room looked busy, all the chairs still touching. So I decided to do my own at home. I have a digital thermometer, and as my husband has high blood pressure, we also have a digital BP tester.
I need more tablets and my husband had to collect them after my telephone appointment, I might ask if there is another way of obtaining the pills I need. Good luck stay safe
I had my call with her on Thursday and just asked if my husband had to go to the hospital and pick them up. She said no she would get them courier. That was Thursday around 2pm, then I had a call from the pharmacy to make sure someone would be home 🤣 and they arrived around 11am Friday x
Sorry Flamingobeef, I misunderstood your question earlier. I thought you were referring to my new appointment. Now I have looked further back, & realise you were asking about someone’s pills delivery. I don’t need to pick up my prescriptions from the hospital now, as it was arranged some time ago that my gp would issue prescriptions with the rest of my medication till the onc needs to change my treatment.
