Blood in Urine

I’ve been passing blood in my urine since Friday. I came into hospital on Saturday and I’ve been on pain killers and antibiotics since then. Yesterday I had an x-ray and CT scan but they still can’t determine what is causing the bleeding and my CRP to be 240.

As anyone else experienced this?

Sorry you feeling awful Jane. I have never had this but wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and hoping you get better soon.

I know the CRP is usually elevated if you have an infection/inflammatory response to something.

You have really been through the mill - and now this!

I wonder if a laparoscopy would help, for a surgeon to take a look?

Meanwhile, I have no experience with this and always assumed blood in urine to be from kidney stones or bladder infections...

I hope they get you sorted out ASAP.

I was passing blood the other week and assumed it was a uti. My gp sent me for ultrasound and cystoscopy. They found a bladder tumour currently awaiting a biopsy. They’ve said it doesn’t look cancerous but need to check. Maybe ask your gp to refer you. I went to a hematuria clinic ) something like that) at my local hospital under the 2 week rule. Best to get it checked x x
