Two year anniversary

An anniversary that I wish I didn’t have but I am still here two years after diagnosis .

Still having a few problems with Niraparib ( BP , heart flutters and constipation ) but I am doing well even if I didn’t get NED again after treatment for first recurrence . Photo is from last week spent in Euro Disney with our girls and Baby Frankie for his second birthday . Think my theme park days are over though , my knees are really bad today .

Love to you all xxxx

Congratulations! Niraparib probably needs tweaking slightly, or add laxatives into the mix to get your bowels moving. I was there at the beginning of February had a fantastic time came back so bruised but was worth it xxx

I went with my daughter left the boys at home 🤣. We loved Rockin rollercoaster twilight tower and hyper space mountain (we’re speed freaks) it was our first time and will definitely be going back hopefully next year 😊 xxx

Pirates of the Caribbean - that takes me back to 2011 when we were in Disneyland Paris with the children. Fab place. We queued for around three quarters of an hour for this ride and as we got to the front my son was sick and we had to just climb over the boats and exit the ride!!!! Lovely photo. Jane X

And we still queued for 40 mins , as popular as ever .xx

We decided to use the fast pass so much easier! I’d recommend it to anyone 🤣 when we were waiting for the twilight tower fast pass there was a 30 minute wait for it so we done the 30 minute wait then used the fast pass so we got to do it two times in a row 😊 xxx

I also remember a ride - I think it was Crushes Coaster. We had to queue for around an hour and we could hear the screams so it was nerve-wracking!! Started off really gentle then all over the place!! Give me A Small World any day!!! X

We gave that a wide berth , my daughter said it was manic and if she didn’t like it I knew I wouldn’t .Small world is relaxing and our Grandson loved it ,kept saying “ look Nan “ , so sweet .xx

Crush’s coaster and it’s a small world was shut for maintenance when we went, but will definitely go on them next time we go xxz

Don’t think you will be impressed by small world but it is everything Disney , bright , colourful all including with a sickly sweet song you will hum forever .x

I’ll give anything a go we done the buzz lightyear ride where you shoot Zorg that was good. I sometimes like sickly sweet we did Pinocchio and Snow White which we’re sickly sweet xxx

Loved the buzz ride , turned into a family war about who got the biggest score .x

Ours was the same 🤣 I said to my daughter next time we stay in the Disneyland hotel we stayed in hotel Cheyenne and that was good but we want to be closer to the park next time xxx

Juleswhee in reply to CallmeMum

We did the innovations meal in the Disney Hotel , it did look a beautiful hotel , our girls stayed in Cheyenne with our grandson and we stayed in Newport Bay just because we wanted a pool , which we never used as we were too busy in the parks.x

Happy anniversary well done on the two years milestone. Maybe a tweak in your meds could help with the constipation?

Lovely photo taken in a magical place, especially for the children. I hope a good time was had by all. I don’t blame you not wanting the hustle and bustle of theme parks but you’ve made another lovely memory with and for you and your family.

Take care ❤️Xx Jane

Exactly Jane another memory , I need to make lots with my only Grandson , born two days after my diagnosis .With this rubbish diagnosis we never know how long we will be able to do these things so I will keep going until I can’t , hopefully that’s a long way away .xxx

Happy Anniversary and what a great way to spend it. I'm in the states and once asked Disney what was the least busy day of the year and they said the day before Thanksgiving so we trotted on down to DisneyWorld in Orlando, FL and even tho we got the fast pass it was not needed! There was almost no one there--my grown boys were kids at the time and we all went on our favorite rides about 10 times before moving on to the next! Anyway--wishing you all the best and the problems with the PARP smooth out. oxox

Hi , We went to Disneyworld when our girls were small (90s) and we went immediately after Thanksgiving and the parks were easy then. Loved all of them but nearly 30 years ago I could do a theme park a day for 10 days , sadly knees dictate I can’t do it now .Loved Florida though .xxJuliaxx
