Hi my wife was diagnosed as stage 1c mucinous ovarian cancer grade 2 back in July 2016.
It was her right ovary that was affected which was removed during surgery. She had 6 rounds of carboplatin over the period of 6 months and was NED in Dec 2016.
The weird thing is she still gets occasional pains (on-off) to her right side of that area and we have been on multiple check ups including ultrasounds, blood tests and colonoscopy and found everything as normal. Normally the pain comes for a few days and then it's gone for a few weeks but the past two weeks she said its been happening more often.
Doctor doesn't know what is happening but has theorised that it could be the organs stuck together from surgery glue which is causing the occasional pain or it could just be the colon.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Hi, I was diagnosed stage 3 11 years ago and have the same sort of issue though apart from having a CA125 which is a good indicator and CT scans Ive never had any other tests. I just put mine down to old age now lol. It used to worry me but Ive learnt to live with it. xx Kathy xx
My OC started in my right Fallopian tube & all the spread was on the right side (HGS Stage 4). I get niggly pains where my right ovary was...my theory is that that is where the drain was! I watched it come out and it was a long drain! Maybe it has damaged some little nerve endings in that area? I should ask someone. I’ve had a recent CT so will see what that shows.
These odd aches & pains can be a worry...but I try to overlook them (rightly or wrongly), much like Katmal.
My other (joint) aches I put down to Taxol or Avastin side effects..
I have pains all over my abdomen, mostly they come and go but always in same area and same type of pain, my doc says it is adhesions, scar tissue that pull and twinge causing this pain. Also 2 years from diagnosis, and all quiet at this time. 🙏So just another thing to live with ☹🌹
Yes, I was diagnosed with stage 1a mucinous adenocarcinoma of my right ovary 7 years ago and was treated with surgery but no chemo. I've had the same issues you describe ever since. The doctors assure me that there are no signs of recurrence and that the pain is due to adhesions. My surgeon says that if the pain were due to recurrence it would be present all the time. I've just had to learn to live with it.
