Hi all,
I hope everyone has had the best Christmas they can - I spent the day celebrating with some of my family, including two gorgeous grandboys, one of whom I didn’t think I’d ever meet as his conception was announced at the same time I told his parents that I had OC. He’s 21 months now and an absolute joy along with his brother who is 4. Chaos reigned, but I enjoyed every minute! More family chaos with other my two other grandchildren on Friday - I can’t wait!
I’ve had my end of treatment scan and am seeing the consultant on 4th January - I’m not sure how it will go, but, apart from some fatigue and general digestive disturbances, I don’t feel too bad.
My bloke returned from his 6 week sailing trip looking a bit weather beaten, but delighted to have completed the challenge - we’re looking for new ones now. I need a holiday too, but I guess I’ll have to wait for a judgement from the hospital before I go mad!
I hope everyone was able to enjoy the festivities, and I’m sure that like me, everyone was thinking of the folk who have had a difficult year with diagnoses, treatment and recurrences. I have raised a glass to absent friends and their families who are always in our thoughts.
With love and best wishes for the coming year - may we all have the strength to continue fighting, Ali x
