I just want to wish everyone on the website the peace and joy of Christmas.
Since I last posted the spectre of lung involvement has disappeared and that particular alien has returned to his planet.
However the alien who has caused my peri Aortic lymph nodes to enlarge even more is still attacking me with his nasty weapons. I have been on watch and wait for six months with scans tracking his progress.
I returned on the 13th of December for results and was met by a new Oncologist who had barely had a chance to study my extremely large file. He was very nice , extremely empathetic and wants me back again on 3 Jan . In the meantime he will have a MDT meeting having compared all my previous scans etc. There is no spread to anywhere else and no ascites which I feared.
Truthfully I was happy to be free of treatment over Christmas . My last two CA125 s came out at 160 both times and they did a third one on the day of my appointment. I forced myself yesterday to take my finger away from the dial so I wouldn't get bad news before Christmas ! Maybe that's putting my head in the sand.
I was so saddened this year to hear about the lovely women lost to this horrible disease with Suzanne being the latest victim. I hope the New Year brings good news of a breakthrough.
In the meantime have a wonderful Christmas with loved ones . Take care

Hope everything goes well for for you at your January appointment and 🤞I'm so glad that your new Oncologist is empathetic. Wishing you a Happy Christmas and a Healthier Year to follow.
I did reply to Sharon about the next coffee morning. It will either be on the 19 or 26 Jan. I said i would go depending on my situation on treatment etc. Hope to see you there fingers crossed. It was good to meet up at the last one. You looked great. Happy Christmas
I obviously replied to myself above instead of you January ! Blame the earlier G and T s ! I'm trying to get into the spirit of Christmas by sampling some spirits ! Take care and happy Christmas again. X
Dear molly blessings for a peaceful Christmas and so much good luck is wished for you for the 3rdnjan, let's hope they have a plan and you are restored to good health xx
Thank you so much Joanie. Hosting Christmas is keeping my mind off it. Even if it's only three of us ! Happy Christmas to you too and to everyone a wish for a New Year filled with hope. Take care
Merry Christmas Molly! It is so sad to think of those we lost but like you, I keep hoping for more and more breakthroughs. May your holiday be filled with love and as little worry as possible before your January appointment. Empathetic oncs are the best! xoxo Judy
Thank you for your lovely message. It's so wonderful that we can all reach out to each other. I do think that in the 21st century more progress should have been made to at least get an earlier diagnosis of this disease. I will always be upset by being dismissed as an IBS patient. However we can't change the past. We can only do our best to change the present and the future for OC women. Take care and have a lovely Christmas.

Well you can try and put it on the back burner until your next appointment but I know that is not easy. I wish you a lovely Christmas day full of peace and joy. Glad the aliens are taking the hint though xx
This is my second reply . I had just written it when I somehow wiped it out! Thanks for your encouraging words. I hope all is well with you. I'm going to make a conscious effort to just live in the moment so the appointment won't feel like it's looming over me !
I hope you are doing well yourself. Take care and Happy Christmas. X. Mary.
