Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask has any one had Taxol for sixteen weeks and the results of ca 125 are bouncing around the 65 64 66 67 back down to 65, suggestion now is for Etoposide capsules one morning and one evening has anyone been on them, this is my third lot of chemo and now tablets. It’s so mind blowing not had a long rest in nearly two years only five months between all the chemos. Regards and good wishes to everyone on this forum. Xx

HiJust to comment on the CA125. The differences that you have had are not really anyway significant. The very small differences could be due to lots of things in the lab. The numbers are not set in stone. Different people doing the test. Maybe a different machine. Maybe one time a bit of inflammation. In any test or experiment there is always a plus/minus factor on some elements of the test. The result is not a definite. Even if this test is a good indicator for you it is only the trend that is significant. If raising significantly on three at a time ie doubling each time. This is togeiwith symptoms.

Thank you, that does make sense now, a few months ago just before I started the 16 week Taxol it jumped from 77 to 217 in two weeks, I have a week off and then a another two weeks of Taxol and that treatment will have finished not very hopeful of it coming down any more, it’s the peritoneal that is the problem. Stage 3 ppc for the last two years nearly, no operation possible so I suppose it is a matter of trial and error and hope, it would be nice just to have six months off from chemo, but as all you Teal ladies say keep positive, I am learning a lot of this brilliant site since I joined a few months ago.
