I hesitated to post this as so many ladies are going through a tough time at the moment. But I decided I would because I’ve always said that we should share good news whenever we can.
Went for my 3 monthly check with the Oncologist yesterday and was told I’m doing brilliantly. Clear scan, ca125 of 9, physical examination excellent. She said, “get out of here and enjoy the next 3 months until I see you again”. I feel absolutely great not withstanding the constant washing machine brain!!
9.5 months in first line remission and so thankful.
Hugs to all, especially those who are in my thoughts a great deal, you know who you are, Marian xxx
Not yet. I’ve one more taxol to go. Maybe two as I missed one. I don’t know whether they’ll give me it or leave it out. My teeth have been hurtIng lately.
I’m
So pleased with your news. We need good news. Xxxxxx
Woo hoo 🥂! Excellent news and really encouraging. Love the washing machine brain analogy, sums me up totally 🤪. Thank you for sharing and keep on keeping well lovely ❤️Xx Jane
Yesterday was a great day for me too.I got the same all clear as you for my stage4b serous carcinoma.6 months so c.f. first line chemo following HYSTERECTOMY. back at the gym and booked a 5 week holiday touring the UK in August.Something good to look forward too from New Zealand.
I had the same news last Thursday when I saw my oncologist. She also told me my next appointment would be the last 3 month review as I will then be moving to 6 months, having been NED for 2 years since ending chemo! I said I found that a scary thought, but she explained that after 2 years the likelihood of recurrence decreases significantly, which is great to hear.
Same "boat" here, as I saw mine last week. I have two; - one (male) I see yearly, the other (female) has been seeing me every 4 months. Just one more 4 mo check- with a CT scan, then I graduate to 6 months check up (for her). Last Chemo was Dec 31, 2015. And neither doctor has said very much- but that I was "a 4C" and doing incredibly well. I would have loved to hear that after 2 years the likelihood of recurrence decreases significantly. I'm so glad you shared your GREAT, GREAT news! I LOVE IT! And here's to many more good reports-all around!!!!!
Marian....That's wonderful news! I just love hearing (and sharing at times) the good news!! Good for you and your family. Enjoy it, and may it last forever and always. Thinking of you and sending hugs........Judyved
Thank you for sharing your great news! I recently joined this site and hearing some positive stories gives me hope. Without hope this disease can be a dark place.
Almost done with first line and scared! This helps so much and gives us all hope. Thank you for posting and long may it last.
Well done Marian and I wish you many more review of three months with that result, go and celebrate, It is always good to hear good news especially those of us in the twilight zone, stable but not gone. All the best to you
am so pleased for you...think sometimes we don't like posting bad news in case it puts people off posting good......so reassuring to read your post! Am sure we all echo what your team say!!!! love C XX
