Incurable and inoperable peritoneum cancer

Anyone else on here been diagnosed with PCC that's incurable? Diagnosed in 2015 with a soft tissue ewing sarcoma, operated to remove the tumour and chemo. In remission for 3 years and bang, back in February 2018 it's reoccurred on a routine ct scan in my peritoneum with mets off it. Not in my major organs thank god. Had 6 months of chemo trials, did nothing, all still stable. Any advice or good news on this please? Taking natural supplements to boost my immune system and everything crossed it works to shrink them. Good testimonies on these herbs, so thete is some hope

Hi Blondie.

Recurring and not getting rid of the disease is scary.. but it could remain stable for quite some time. Unless/until the disease grows or you experience symptoms, maybe you won't need any other treatment either. Time for those nerves of steel maybe?

Else you could always try a different chemo.. there should be a number of options still available.

Mine was suspected back/stable (based on an increased ca125, though nothing visible on scans) for more than two years before active tumours and a sharply rising marker suggested it was time for treatment.

Best of luck with the herbs (what are you taking.. are they 'compatible' with the chemo?). Xx. Maus

Hi Blondie - I was diagnosed with PPC 2010 so 8 years in.

Are you under Colerectal or Gynae. I have seen both but as mine is Ovarian Family I have been down that treatment route.

Quite a varied journey with both highs & lows. I am now on Tamoxifen (1 yr). Tumour still growing but not in a rush at the moment. Think the Tamoxifen is keeping it steady, so the CT scans reflect.

Do have an ileostomy which is both a plus & minus. The challenge at present is food, keep getting blockages. Had major surgery last year but no go as the intestine sitting (quite comfortably) on the tumour.

But life is where it is so many pleasures each day to blow the downs away. I count myself truly blessed - I have had, and God willing will have time. So many of our young high graders don’t have.

Take care, pace yourself, take each day as it comes - focus on the now and see the funny side of life.

Sue 😘

Not under gynae. It's not ovarian in mine, just my peritineal and started there. Caught through my routine ct scans xx

Hi Blondie - it’s just amazing how different types of cancer types end up in different places. I had total hysterectomy 38 - 1986 hence PPC. But in 1986 no histology as per day.

Stay positive, there is always a silver lining, just keep looking. Natural herbal remedies and alternative therapies most certainly have a part in any treatment.

Big Hug 🤗

Thank you. Always stay positive. Always looking at alternative ways if kicking it's ass. Big hug to you too

Surgery isn't an option as too many in there around the same area. Keeping positive and taking each day as it comes. Returned back to work last week and started running again xx

So pleased you're now ok. Had the 2nd opinion at the Christie, same as what the QE B'ham said. Can't operate as it's soft tissue ewing sarcoma on my colon, numerous mets in peritoneum and one on my bladder. Too many mets in peritineum to operate. I can do chemo again, but that's it. Started taking natural stuff and high thc cannabis oil. Git to try everything, but not sure if I want cheno again as it didn't work and wrecks your immune system x
