Jasel, good luck indeed with the scan tomorrow. Hope there's another explanation for the pain (and it'll be under control soon), but best to be sure. All the best. Maus.

Best to you. My sister has been having severe back pain as well. They did an MRI yesterday. Waiting for results. Could be muscle spasms because she has been in bed before a week. 🙏

Hey guys

My doctor called me today she didn’t give me great news

She said they found nodules of something in my pelvis and I also have blood clots

Not sure if I’m saying anything correctly

She said I have to go see her today

☹️

Just catching up with everyone’s news... so how did you get on when you saw her?

I hope it turned out a bit less alarming than the phone call. I always think there’s sort of a relief when they do actually find something, even when it’s scary, rather than having symptoms which they can’t pin down.

Let us know. X

Hi

It’s back I’m starting chemo soon

My oncologist is waiting on some results to see which treatment will be best.

Only 5 months in remission .

Don’t know how to tell my mother she’s going to be devastated

She helped me through it the first time

She was there every appointment every infusion. She was there but I know it pained her seeing me

I wish she didn’t have to go through it again

So sorry to hear this. I know just what you mean. Telling my mum and my son is just about the worst. It’s just about the only fringe benefit to mine having dementia now that there’s no longer any point telling her!

Would it help to make her aware that most of us do recur.... something like 75-80%?. I don’t think the medics ever make that clear at the outset and always hope we’ll be one of the lucky ones. It’s not so much it’s back as it never went away.

Of course it pained her and this will too. But she’s your mum and will gladly support you through whatever comes your way. My first chemo ...almost 10 years ago now, there was a mother and daughter combo sticking together through thick and thin. You’re lucky to have each other. Stay strong. Xxxxxx

HI Jasel, I hope your scan went well... Take care Lorraine xx

Hi Jasel, it's taken me so long to write- wondering how you're doing? Hope the chemo is working for you and gives you a very long remission.

You're far too young, I'm so sorry you're going through this.

Wishing you much love, you're a beautiful girl and glad you have support around you.

Michelle xx
