Hair still failing out

Finished my gem and carbo 2 months ago just had major surgery and my hair is still failing out. Is this normal? No longer under an oncologist as at the moment under urologists sergon so I don't feel I have anyone to ask as I have moved between jhopitals . Heidi

I was offered carbo/gem but didn’t think it caused hair loss. Maybe you have alopecia? It can happen after a traumatic event. I’d call cancer high up on that list. Maybe speak to your key worker ?

I didn't have chemo when I had my debulking op but I had a lot of hair loss for a few weeks afterwards which I put down to stress. X

Does your hair normally grow slowly? Remember that the first bit of growth occurs below the skin. The old hairs are dead, any that were growing at the time you received treatment, they still have to "clear the decks" to make way for your lovely, thick new growth. I have a full head of wild curls 12 months on, wait and see what you get. :-) xxx
