I’ve spent my afternoon with great friends and the bloke looking at lovely gardens in my local area - National Open Garden Scheme. Admittedly I’ve had a little bit of Prosecco, but I just want to say that I bloody love you all - your words of wisdom have helped me so much over the last 24 hours! So cheers you lovely people, and I hope all is well with you.

With love, Ali x

Cheers sweetie. Enjoy the alcohol as we are not supposed to have it on caelyx but I've pushed the boundary a couple of times and regretted it. Just a couple of glasses of rose and I get a hangover from hell, rather like the feeling the caelyx gives me for a few days. Got it today but no wine so just had a lazy day and now getting in the zone for a big dollop of Ryan Gosling in a few minutes. Yummy.

Before I got sick I was very active for the French equivalent of your garden scheme, Open Gardens/Jardins Ouverts. Still visit the gardens though. Used to open ours too. Miss it.

You're looking good kid and so pleased you've had a lovely day. Time for my fantasy Gosling time while hubby is downstairs. Perfect xxxxx

Thanks flower, got to get it in before the imminent onslaught. Because I’m me I will need to prove to myself that it’s not a good idea! I’ll send a photo of that day!

Lots of love, Ali x

Oh bugger - what were you going to watch? I don’t really do films unless I’ve got knitting to do. I’ve a very short attention span!

Stay well, Ali x

It was Crazy Stupid Love on ITVbe. I'm not a tele watcher normally but when stuck in bed almost 24/7 for the first couple of days after the toxic poison, it helps to alleviate the boredom - almost. So hot yesterday too. Had a fan blasting cold air at me from both sides but still pretty unbearable. Mr G makes it worthwhile - and he took his top off. Win, win :-)

Had my extra Emend early this morning with toast and milk and no nausea so it does work wonders. Try to get it, Ali. First round I only had the normal 3 days and the Sunday and Monday were awful. Sick as a pig all day and night. Hated it.

It's 11am now so time to toddle down and see what mischief I can get up too. I can hear sounds of work being done outside so hubby is busy. Good. Our weather is breaking tomorrow so we should be more comfortable. I'm getting an urge to do something like the ironing but I will resist such a ridiculous urge. Rather get my paints out and mess around in a shady spot outside. Sounds a plan. See how I feel when I'm vertical.

Have a great day whatever it brings. Life is good, especially when the sun shines and there's Prosecco.... xxxxx

We’re doing some more gardens today - there are even more Pimms and Prosecco stops today!

My new goal (post Carbo/caelyx) is to get my garden ready to be in the scheme next year. It may not happen, but if I’m booked to do that then I can’t be ill can I?

Lots of love, Ali x
