Thank you to everyone who replied to my post last week I will reply to everyone individually but I just wanted you to know that you have all helped me hugely and I am now feeling far less sorry for myself. I spent last weekend with my 2 daughters and my husband in Devon and then had a lovely birthday yesterday. Birthdays tend to feel so much more special when your future is uncertain.

Beautiful scenery with a beautiful lady. Happy birthday! no one could guess what uncertainty and worry you experience looking at such a happy and smiling face. You should be proud of your self and look at it when you are feeling low. It certainly cheered me up to think that though we all have good and bad days this group is here to support us through all times. I am proud of how we are all here for each other. Thank you for making me feel the sunshine and happiness when I was feeling low.

Oh Pat that is so kind. What a lovely lady you are. Yes we do tend to be on a bit of a roller coaster emotionally with this horrendous disease but we get lifted by those around us and by the lovely ladies on this site. We cannot allow our fears for the future spoil our pleasures today. Thank you too for lifting me up xxcc

Sending birthday wishes Sian. Lovely photo. Yes birthdays are special. When mum was diagnosed at the end of Dec 13 (Christmas Eve - lovely present!!) I thought that was it so every birthday and Mothers' Day is so special. I'm just staying with her now. We went to Blackpool for a few days and my time with her is so precious. XX

Thank you Jane. Yes birthdays take on more importance now when we know they are likely to be in short supply. The cream tea was delicious though I can't get used to putting the cream on first.It seems wrong but my Daughter's partner is a Devon man and that's the way they do it there!!!
