The Royal Wedding

Hi all! Goodness! What a lovely wedding it was for Harry and Megan! I live on the Southeast Coast of the US so set my alarm for 5am to be able to catch all the arrivals and excitement then the wedding! I wanted to share a picture of my grandsons, who were spending the weekend and inevitably got caught up in the 5am viewing. After they woke up more, they actually watched the whole thing, even asking a few questions. The whole 'Royalty' thing quite perplexed them. Lol We all took afternoon naps later. It really was a wonderful wedding and let us share the fairytale.

My youngest daughter took a nap during the proceedings because it all got a bit boring for her and I wouldn’t let her watch Paw Patrol! I’d reserved my TV slot in advance, and I wasn’t changing the channel for anything. I loved all the build up and seeing the guests arriving. It was fab!

However, I got to watch it at a more sociable hour - well done for getting up so early!

The day did include 2 naps! A few friends were having a viewing party, complete with tea and English muffins and shortbread. I was invited but it was all I could do to sit bleary-eyed sipping coffee much less dress and be cheery at 5am

Yes I am in Ireland and I thought the wedding was really nice. I loved the dress the music and the singing. The Bishop was good and it is nice to bring a touch of America to the Ceremony

Living in the Southern US, I was so happy to see the choir and the Bishop! That is definitely a very good glimpse into our culture here and especially black churches. Let me tell you, church has never been so much fun and inspiring until you go to a service to a black church!
