Please could you help me with a travel insurance query? I know many of you found InsureWith helpful, but I can't locate this company. The websites insurewith.com and insurewith.co.uk aren't working, the @insurewith twitter account hasn't been updated since 2015 and no amount of googling shows me this company.
I remember that some of you have mentioned that you've had insurance from Insurewith recently. Could you tell me if this was with the company I'm failing to find, or was it with InsuranceWith? insurancewith.com/?gclid=EA... I've rung InsuranceWith and they say they are never referred to as InsureWith, but I've found a few conversations online where people are referring to InsuranceWith as InsureWith.
It's that time of year when I start getting more travel insurance queries on the support line, so if you can help me clarify this I'd be really grateful. We don't recommend companies but I like to let people know what others have found helpful (I know MIA, Eurotunnel and Boots have also been helpful - if there are others I should mention do let me know). I just want to make sure I'm giving the right name!
Many thanks for your help,
Anna

A lot of people call them Insure With, which threw me to begin with.
If you look at the Boots travel insurance platform, it is identical to the Insurance With one, which makes me think that they are the same provider but different brands!
Open Insurance offer a brilliant worldwide travel insurance policy if you are a member of the Women’s Institute and aged 50 to 69 years.
There are no medical questions other than have you been given a terminal diagnosis and have you been advised not to travel. So long as you can reply with a negative to these questions you are covered.
The cover is a fixed price of £195
You can also add on family members.
You apply on line at openinsurance.org.uk
They have been brilliant for me and I hope they could be helpful for other people.
I have just looked at the cancer research pages and their recommendations too. I have tried a few quotes and a company called world-first.co.uk have given me a quote for £132 for a year/multi trip insurance to include the USA. I thought that was pretty good?
They take all your medical details and you can add or delete info to suit you (eg sports etc) and personalise your policy. Mine is including alot of sports.
I will try the one above before I book, but otherwise I think I will book this one.
Many thanks for sharing this. The more options I can let people know about the better. Have a lovely holiday!
Best wishes
Anna
One of the things I've realised is the companies take a different approach to risk and who should foot the bill for it.
MIA seems happier to insure you for places with decent health infrastructure but are also readier to insure you in treatment or with treatment pending.
Insurancewith seems to me to have a better model and to be more flexible about where (cheaper but with higher excess if you need to claim) but seems reluctant to cover you if treatment is pending.
My last trip I followed advice on here and went with Eurotunnel, having got a letter from the onc confirming I was fit to travel. It is cheaper than either of the other two and it avoids the ghastly health interrogations.
