Good morning ladies. I have reluctantly decided to give up the Trioc TroVax Trial. Although it held things in check for a while my CA125 has been rising and I had signs of recurrence on my last scan albeit peripheral, sort of spread in a few places outside my organs. Also the hour each way trips into Bristol were very tiring and there was a lot of blood taken most times. It’s a shame as the team were lovely but I feel I was doing better on Letrezole, which I have resumed. I have been doing some research pondering my next steps. My question is has anyone had any experience of or considered going to one of the German clinics that does targeted Low Dose Insulin sub-potentiated chemo? Aside from the considerable cost involved I guess the attraction of it is that it is a shorter treatment and less damaging on the body. I realise also that the oncologists here probably wouldn’t approve. My herbalist had two cancers at once but included an ovarian tumour and this treatment combined with supplements, juicing, liver cleansing and herbal tinctures cured her and she is healthy today. She is a young woman though and has a strong positive personality which must help. Anyway I was curious to know if anyone else has any information on it. All best wishes for a good weekend. Love Sophia x

Sorry you have had to give this trial up,but if you better about going back on letrezole, maybe it will be better. I personally have no experience of the trial or letrezole but it is always good to hear peoples opinions on these things for future reference.

With regards to Germany & this targeted treatment ,which incidentally I have looked at also, but do not know anyone that has experience of it. . If you feel inclined then go for it. or look into it further. The man hospital are good & I only know this because I worked in Berlin. Take a look at Athens in Greece as they are very up in the world of cancer. I know you would not think so but my daughter lived over there & we still have contact with her mother -in -law. Having said all this maybe you should think about the Royal Marsden or UCHL in London, but of course you would probably need to go private for the targeted treatment.

Hope you find what you are looking for as it is a minefield really, but I would be interested to know what you find out if you do.xxx

Hi Sophia,

Sorry to hear the trial didn’t work out for you.

I’m interested in the clinics in Germany, but I don’t know enough about how good their results are with ovarian cancer. There’s one story doing the rounds about a young woman with OC who had immunotherapy at one of the clinics and is doing incredibly well, but she’s the only person I have come across. There’s also a clinic called Chemothermia in Istanbul which uses the technique you are talking about and is having some success with cancer treatment in general, but again, I don’t know much about their results with OC. These are definitely things I would pursue in the future.

Hi Sophia, sorry your trial isn't working out the hormone treatment might be of benefit if you team are suggesting it, I am sorry I have not heard of these cures in Germany but what I would say is be careful about spending money on something that may not help at all

Thanks so much Suzuki, that is very wise advice. I don’t think the German places necessarily cure people but seem to do well for people who have run out of options on the NHS. The Hallwang Clinic has some good stories on their website but people often have to do crowdfunding to pay their bills. It is tough. All best wishes to you and hope you are feeling as well as possible. You are a great inspiration to us on this site.
