Hi all, just an update on yesterday’s post (Tomorrow) and a warning that there will be another one soon, probably on Saturday entitled Yesterday!!
I saw my consultant’s registrar (who is lovely), who greeted me with the news that my scan results weren’t back yet. However, he examined me and explained that most of the discomfort I feel is from ‘stranding’ which is apparently a post operative thing.
He could see no reason for me to not go skiing and seems fairly positive about there being no recurrence yet. He even said ‘if it comes back’ but I did say don’t you mean ‘when’?! He didn’t correct me but we can live in hope!
Scan results will be chased and also seen by MDT if they show anything and I’ve got an appointment in the afternoon on Friday, but may not post then as I’ll have to get ready for Burns night when I get home!
Thank you all for support after my last post - it means a great deal as you all know to have people who are sharing experiences.
Love to all, Ali x

Ahh - I’m the master of confusion - apologies! Roll on the Laphroaig and the Gay Gordon’s! Saturday’s post may not make much sense either!! Cheers! 🥃 x
I do believe it is good news, the Reg said if and not when, we don't know either way so we keep going in the hope that it buggers off totally, all the best
Hi go on your ski holiday , enjoy the blue sky and Sun. I didn't go this year because I still have the port in. Hopefully I will get there next year. Enjoy.
Yes, we take out an annual policy that includes winter sports. For our skiing last year I think we were still with World First. They covered my cancer but with a £400 excess, and the annual rate for us both together was around £120. This year we're with Eurotunnel who are happy to let you go as long as your doctor says you are fit to travel.
ps I had a different post-cancer approach to skiing which included longer lunches!
